MYOB Secure Portal, first time users:

The Hendrie Group MYOB Secure Portal means you’ll be able to send all your accounting paperwork to us with the touch of a button. It also means you’ll be able to electronically approve tax returns going forward which will make things much faster and easier.

What you need to do:

You’ll receive an email notification asking for you to join the Hendrie Group portal. Just follow the steps below to set up (or view this video link http://help.myob.com/wiki/display/CP/Home for a visual guide).

1. Click on the link in the email invitation or use this link https://thehendriegroup.portal.accountants/login
2. Save the link to your internet favourites bar straight away
3. As this is the first time you’re using the portal you need to click ‘Sign up’
4. You’ll be asked for an email address and password.
5. You have now created your account

Please note, each user will need their own separate account to be able to approve documents!!

Two Factor Authenticator

If you use other MYOB accoutning services you will also be asked to set up Two-Factor Authenticator as an additional security

Getting set up

The first time you access your online MYOB software, you’ll be guided through the 2FA setup (unless you’ve already set it up). You’ll need to choose whether you want to use a mobile app or email to obtain your 2FA codes.

Email 2FA

1. Sign in to your MYOB account as normal, using your email address and password.
2. When you click Sign in, an email with an authentication code is sent to you automatically.
   If you can’t see the email in your inbox or check your junk mail.
3. Copy the code in, then click Verify, and you’re done.

App 2FA

An authenticator app is an app that you install on your phone or tablet which generates a secure authentication code which you’ll need to sign in to your MYOB account. You don’t need internet access to use an authenticator app, but you do need to have access to the device each time you sign in.

On Android and Apple devices, use the Google Authenticator app. On a Windows device, use the Microsoft Authenticator app.

1. Download the App from your Play Store or Apps Store to your mobile phone and follow the set up instructions
2. Sign in to your MYOB account as normal, using your email address and password.
3. A screen appears asking for an authentication code. Open your 2FA app and find the code.It will look something like this:
   1. Enter the code into the two-factor authentication screen, (picture 1 above) then click Sign in and you’re finished.

If you don’t want to use 2FA every time you sign in, tick Trust this device for 30 days before you click Verify, and you’ll only need to put in a 2FA code once every thirty days. If you or anyone else tries to sign in to your account from another computer or browser, an authentication code will still be required.

Uploading documents

When it’s time to upload documents to us, all you need to do is…

1. Save the relevant information to your computer (you can scan it in or even take a clear photo).
2. Sign in to your MYOB portal account
3. Click on the + icon in the top right hand corner
4. Select the required document and click upload

To zip (compress) a file or folder

1. Locate the file or folder that you want to zip.
2. Press and hold (or right-click) the file or folder, select (or point to) Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder.A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location. To rename it, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Rename, and then type the new name.

Easy!
