Important update: The Small Business Super Clearing House (SBSCH) will be closing from 1 July 2026

What this means for you as an employer:

From 1 July 2026:

  1. The SBSCH will no longer be available
  2. You will need to adopt an alternative super clearing solution
  3. Your super obligations remain unchanged (timing, accuracy and reporting)

Your Options Moving Forward

We’ve outlined the available options in the attached ‘SBSCH Closure – Super Clearing House Options Fact Sheet’.

This provides a clear summary of:

  1. Available clearing house alternatives
  2. Recommended solutions for most businesses
  3. Key considerations when selecting a provider
  4. Practical next steps

Our Recommendation

For most businesses, transitioning to a payroll-integrated solution will provide the best long-term outcome in terms of efficiency, compliance and ease of use.

That said, the most suitable option will depend on your current systems and business need.

Next Steps

  1. Review our SBSCH Closure Options Fact Sheet
  2. Consider which option best suits your business
  3. Allow time to implement and test your new system prior to 1 July 2026
